Best Practices - Retention Print E-mail

In this time of remarkable growth in Alberta’s economy, labour shortages have created difficulties for many enterprises, particularly in the social services sector. These human resource challenges have encouraged organizations to be creative and adaptive to the needs of their employees. In general, employees value strategies such as communication, involvement in decision-making, access to resources, and the opportunity for continuous development and learning.

I was attracted to a career with this organization because of the flexibility it offered. My supervisor is very knowledgeable and understanding and I learn a lot through working with her. I really enjoy my position because my work is meaningful and it feels great to be helping others.
