Recruitment PracticesReferral BonusIf an applicant referred by a current employee is hired and passes probation, the employee who made the referral receives a bonus on their pay check. Vacation AccruementWe provide employees with 6% vacation earnings in their first year of employment. This increases to 8% in the fourth year of employment and to 10% in the tenth year. New employees do not have to wait a year to use their vacation. Vacation time is earned every month and can be taken as it is earned. We also allow staff to carry forward vacation time from one year into the following year. Employee Extended BenefitsWe have an excellent health and dental benefit plan with coverage provided in a number of areas including eye care and complementary health services (e.g. massage and homeopath remedies). Only about 25% of the total cost of these services is paid by the employee, which leaves more money in their pockets. We also have a drug card which allows employees to pay only the deductable when picking up medications. |
